Consign With Us
CONSIGNMENT FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Most questions about consigning with Twice Blessed are answered below in Consignment 101, however, here are the top 10 additional things we get asked about our consignment. If you still have questions, give us a call during store hours: 248-693-8900 M-Sat 10-5
1. What brands don't you take?
In women's clothes, we don't take brands from discount stores or brands that we feel don't fit with our Twice Blessed brand. Specifically brands from Target, Kohl's, Meijer, Costco, Sam's, Amazon exclusive, Walmart and Shein are avoided. We focus on brands that the majority of our customers are buying in retail stores, brands like Lululemon, ALO yoga, Free People, Anthropologie, J Crew, Banana republic, Ann Taylor, Loft, WHBM, Aritzia and many more. Children's clothing from Jumping Beans, SQ, Shein, Garanimals and Okie Dokie is not accepted. Most other brands in size 18 months to adult size XS are accepted for children.
2. Do you take Men's clothes?
At this time we only accept women and children's clothing, footwear and accessories, as well as some jewelry and designer handbags. We do accept some small sizes in men's athletic clothes and sneakers that we market to our teen boys, but we do not have a men's department. We also do not sell maternity clothing, vintage clothing, pajamas for women or formal wear, such as mother-of-the bride dresses.
3. What are Fall items?
We have four seasons of consigning. We do not have a hard and fast date that we start each season, but generally we start fall in august, winter in October, spring in January and summer in March. Fall and spring are transitional months, and winter is when we take heavy coats and accessories such as snow boots, hats and scarves and summer is when we take swim suits, golf clothes, shorts, tank top and beach sandals.
4. Can I pick my items up if they don't sell?
Yes you can! Our consignment is 90 days, so you can call us a few days before the consignment ends and we can tell you how many items you have left on the selling floor. We would then pull the items for you to pick up, allowing 5 days for pick up, and we'll charge you just $1 for each item picked up to help compensate for our time. Most of our consignors choose to donate, however, and we have connected to some great charities. See my video on the "about us" page.
5. What styles are you looking for?
This changes seasonally and annually of course, but in general, we want the styles you are buying new! In 2026 for example, we are not taking skinny jeans, patterned leggings, jeans with large holes, or cold shoulder tops. We take most better brands seasonally in current styles and in excellent condition.
6. Why did my item get donated before the end of the 90 days?
When we accept an item for consignment, we have every intention of keeping it on the sales floor for 90 days. However, we review 100's of items each day, so logically we can miss a stain, tear or other detail that leads to early donation of an item. We give EVERY item careful consideration and do not do this willy nilly.
7. Can I have my bag back?
It seems like a small thing, but bringing consignments in a bag you can leave with us is a BIG help and saves precious time. On that note, please. no hangers, boxes or totes. We do not have the space to manage and sometimes store these containers.
8. Why didn't you take my items?
The Twice Blessed Owner and Manager review all the drop offs to ensure we are taking the items that have the best chance of selling. We have to consider space as well as the stock we already have and what's selling each season. It's never personal.
9. Do you call me when my items sell?
We don't, but you can call us to check on your account anytime during store hours! With your last name or phone number, we can access your account and tell you how much credit you have and how many items you still have for sale. Then you stop in the store anytime after items have sold to either pick up your money or spend it as credit on something new!
10. Can I take back items you aren't consigning?
Definitely! Most of the time, we can look through a 30-40 item drop off in about 20 minutes and you can choose to donate or take back the items we can't consign. If we are super busy, we may need to call you to come back and pick up unconsigned items, but we can still accommodate your request.
